In collaboration with Doula Canada and the Center for Continuing Education of Osteopathy
If you are a Doula or Midwife in training and would like to learn to understand common Digestive Disturbances that Newborns experience this online course is for you!
In this online course, you will learn to understand common Digestive Disturbances that Newborns experience, the areas of the body that are responsible, and how manual therapy as an alternative to western pharmaceuticals can help, all taught to you from an Osteopathic perspective. You will see a demonstration of an Osteopathic treatment performed on Infants and young children to help relieve colic, reflux, and constipation. A Basic Infant Massage Protocol for Digestive Disturbances will also be taught that you can offer as part of your Post Partum Doula services.
Why is this course valuable to PostPartum Doulas & Midwives?
Post Partum Moms often struggle with fussy babies who suffer from colic, reflux and constipation. Learning to identify these issues and knowing who to refer your Birthmother client to for help, can be a very satisfying aspect of your Post Partum Doula Services.
How the course works:
This is the fourth course in our new Doula & Midwife Training Series.
This course includes 10 hours of on-line learning with teaching in audio format, video demonstrations, downloads to use in your Doula or Midwife practice in the future, and a quiz at the end of each chapter.
A new chapter is released each week but there is no deadline to complete this course. You can log in from anywhere at any time and learn.
Access the course for one full year!
This course enrollment fee gives you complete access to this course for one full year, 365 days. That includes all of the demonstration videos that you can watch as many times as you like, listen to the audio lessons over and over, and downloads that you can use to enhance your Doula or Midwife practice!
Certificates of Completion:
Upon completion of the course, students receive a Certificate of Completion for 10 CPD/CEU hours.
