Part 2. Continuing Fundamentals of Cranial Manual Therapy: Cranial Patterns of Dysfunction & Postural Adaptations
for Manual & Massage Therapists
This is a 30 hour level II course building upon Part 1. The Fundamentals of Cranial Manual Therapy. If you have not yet completed Part 1. scroll down to see our enrollment options.
Learning to identify the major classic patterns of dysfunction is key to understanding the basis for a cranial pathology and its implication in global bodily patterns of compensation and cranial trauma.
In this online course, Maureen takes you through the steps in an engaging and much more simplified way than other teaching methods in Cranial Dysfunctions.
You will come to appreciate the cranial component of a bodily pattern of dysfunction, such as a postural imbalance, and how cranial patterns of dysfunction can be the primary cause of symptoms, or can be the secondary outcome of other bodily adaptations.
In this online course you will learn to identify Cranial Compactions, Torsions, Lateral and Vertical Strains, and SideBending Rotations, and the techniques to correct them.
Why take this course?
If you want to deepen your understanding of Cranial Dysfunctions and have a passion for understanding and resolving them, the next step is for you to learn the causes of Cranial Patterns of Dysfunction, how to identify them through clinical signs, patient symptoms and effective palpation skills. Only then can you become an expert at being able to correct them and provide your patients with long lasting symptomatic relief.
How this Course works:
This is an intermediate fifteen chapter course divided into six modules for you to organize and plan your learning. You will find that learning to identify and correct the various classic cranial patterns of dysfunction requires you pace. You should plan to take the time to practice and truly visualize in your mind, as well as recognize on your client, how a compaction, torsion, strain or side bending rotation presents itself. Our ability to discern these patterns will challenge your palpation skills on more advanced level.
You can log in at any time, from anywhere, to learn the chapters within a module. At the end of the course, your homework assignments will help you truly integrate everything that you have learned in this fascinating course.
How do I achieve my Certificate of Completion?
This course has three hands-on practice assignments and are an integral part of fulfilling the requirements for your Certificate of Completion. You can download the necessary documents in the Homework chapter of the course and practice on friends, colleagues, or clients, or depending on the homework assignment, people who have a history of cranial discomfort or postural misalignment to help you learn to identify and correct cranial patterns of dysfunction.
